Two Artists – One Mission: Art That Moves
Claudio Pirisi and Raphaella Mezzaluna come from Italy and are active Madonnari who have dedicated themselves to traditional street painting. With chalk, passion, and spiritual depth, they create ephemeral works of great expressive power.
Their roots lie in the Northern Italian tradition, but their work extends far beyond national borders. Both regularly participate in international festivals, including the renowned Madonnari gathering in Curtatone, where they paint annually in honor of Saint Mary.
Part of the StreetArt-Swiss Festival 2025
At the 2nd StreetArt-Swiss Festival, Claudio and Raphaella will create a joint piece in the Catholic Church of St. Niklaus in Wil. Inspired by Psalm 18:30 and the theme „Freedom,“ they will craft an image that combines spirituality and artistic modernity. Visitors are invited to experience the creation process live.
What makes their art special:
• The connection of faith, emotion, and technique
• Working directly on asphalt or mobile surfaces
• Conscious impermanence as an expression of time
